    Yes, all information is confidential in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

  • How do you meet with clients? I don’t always have access to the internet.

    No worries about internet availability. Sessions are conducted via HIPAA-compliant phone or secure video sessions. In rare cases, there may be opportunity for in-person meetings. We will discuss which method will work best for you and your situation.

  • What type of licensing do you have?

    I am a masters-level clinician as Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor which allows me to operate independently to diagnose and treat clients.

  • Are you licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin?

    I am licensed in the State of Minnesota and only serve Minnesota clients.

  • Do you take insurance?

    We accept many insurance programs. Please ask specifically about your insurance carrier as we add new companies and plans from time to time.

  • What types of payment (outside of insurance) do you accept?

    I accept credit cards (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa), debit cards, Cash App, and Zelle.

  • What are your typical fees?

    My fees per client session are $100 or on a sliding scale.

  • What happens next after deciding to work with you?

    You will receive a Welcome Packet with forms to fill out and sign prior to the first session. This includes consent forms, insurance information, and payment information. Our email comes from Motus Counseling LLC, Timothy Zetzsche. Subject line is: Welcome from Timothy Zetzsche. There will be a link to sign into your private customer portal.

  • What can I expect from my first session?

    During your first consultation with me, we will get to know each other a little bit. We will talk about what brings you to therapy and discuss possible ways I can help you move forward. I will answer questions you may have about the process or myself. We will also discuss methods of payment.

  • What is the basic process during sessions?

    The process is a combination of psychoeducation, gentle challenging, and a chance for you to tell your story. You will learn new skills and thinking patterns along with recognizing your emotions and how to manage them. Sessions contain a lot of listening on my part, validation, and helping you set and reach goals. The focus is on healthy personal growth.

  • Are group/family/couple sessions available?

    While not my specialty, I may provide family or couple sessions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Can you prescribe drugs if needed?

    I do not prescribe medication.

  • How long and how frequent are sessions?

    Sessions are typically 50 to 60 minutes long. Most people like to meet weekly. Sometimes, people choose to meet less frequently, based on need.

  • How long do people generally work with you or do sessions just become less frequent?

    The amount of time people work with me varies greatly. Some individuals meet with me just a few times to work out a very specific issue. Other times, people continue treatment for as long as they feel the need to do so.
